Your eyes shine like this riverstone
Deepest heart and shades of roan
Might ask mother nature for a loan
To share this little riverstone.

I dragged it out with my foot from that babbling brook
A stone amongst many stones I might have overlooked
So smooth so warm, a joy to hold in my hand
My thoughts come back to you lying in the sand
(in your mother’s arms).

Two beauties to behold
One is sandstone the other pure gold
I just want to take you home
